did you use actual window tint film??

Here's what you do. Take off whatever you did. Go to the store and get one of two paints:

VHT Niteshades or Duplicolor Metalcast Black Chrome

Both are transparent tinting paints. Just clean the lenses, spray on in LIGHT coats until you get the desired darkness and then wetsand them with 1500-2000 grit, then clearcoat and wetsand again.

Here are my tails and front corners on my truck using the Duplicolor black chrome.

Niteshades is black, which will give you the complete blacked out effect, whereas the Black chrome is more of a smoked look, which is what I was after. Both paints work great.

Here is Niteshades used on my old Mystique. The centre part on the trunk was just painted black.
