I'm thinking that I'll buy an aftermarket set and do it. I searched and searched for an affordable pair of original Ford ones, and finally got them. I would hate to risk ruination by trying to heat them and pull them apart.
Also, what is "kewn"? I've been seeing that for a while now.

I found a set of aftermarket ones on eBay that were cheap because they had a slight surface cracks. It's definitely on my list of things to do.
