One of my headlights took 15 mins in the oven, near fell apart. (in a good way). My other took about an hour of putting it in and taking it out before it came apart...it was still a pain at that!

I've done a couple of these and the best way is to put them in the oven on 200 for 25 min. checking on them every 5 min to make sure nothing melts. Then with oven mits take em out and gently pry apart with small flathead screwdiver. Should pop off easily! Then tape off what you don't wanna paint, scuff w/sandpaper, apply 3-4 coats of paint.Let dry completely(at least 24 hrs) then apply clear silicone and put lights together applying firm pressure to both sides for a tight fit. let dry then put lights back in.. Hope this helps.

Use masking tape. you can get the small size at any parts store..Thats what i used for the ring and on the inside corners, then i used bigger tape for the rest of the inside..

I am waiting my paint to dry for my headlight mod as we speak. I did 235 degrees every 5 minutes I tried to see if the would come apart the first on took 25 min and the second took 20 min. Just used normal masking tape. The longes part is taping for me. Otherwise so far it looks pretty good.
