Those caps look great! I'm liking your caps more than my Bushwacker caps!
I can't justify a $500 spray-in, or a drop-in, or heck..even a do-it-yourself one. I love my 1/2" rubber bed mat. lol. I've had spray-in in the past...but had the issue of stuff moving around back there...no issues like that with my $20 craigslist bedmat

I Herculined mine back in the spring time.
It holds up for light duty work, i wouldnt do anything too major with it though.
I hauled some metal shelving and it dug into it and tore some parts, so its not the strongest, but sure beats the normal Plastic drop in.
If scratching is a problem, find a rubber bed mat to throw down.
But i agree, its better than spending the 500.00.
I'd probably get the spray gun next time though, for a thicker/easier application of it.

They sell that UV topcoat stuff, wouldn't that stop it from fading?

Now this is how you prep a bed for huculiner:
I used a $5 wire wheel on a drill and it went pretty good. The only thing is it makes your skin really really itchy, I was smart and wore a dust mask.
I did mine because I was sick of looking at all of the scratches in my bed
Its held up very well and stuff doesnt slide too much. If I slam on the brakes stuff will slide but thats about it.
Has anyone else noticed how it holds on to odors? I had 2 deer hides back there last year for a week and now the bed still stinks like deer. Im not complaining because its a good smell but its wierd.

maybe because it has lil pores, that stuff can get into, and you;d have to scrub good with strong stuff to get the smell out...

I dunno its been a year since that and in that time Ive probably had the cover off for a month and a half if you add it all up. Its just weird.

Yes, its like 19.99.
I put it on mine right after i coated it. No fading yet.
Still black and looks new.
Sits outside through both winter and summer.
IMO:
If you don't use your truck for heavy duty work, i would defiantly recommend it.
If you plan on using it as a heavy duty work truck, pay the extra money and get it Line-X'd or Rhino Lined.
