well I got the 3 watt LEDs from superbrightleds.com [http://superbrightleds.com/specs/315x-xLX3.htm] and I wasn't pleased at all, I put these in my rear turn signals. The regular filament bulb lights up the whole turn signal chamber, but is not very bright. The 3-watt LED is brighter, but it doesn't light up the whole chamber and it looks just like what it is, a single LED "dot". Granted it is bright, however it looks kinda wierd cuz it really just looks like a single "dot" is in the taillight.

I'm not sure if I wanna return them, or try out the 63 led bulbs, or keep the incadescent bulb...

Another thing to consider in my case, is that I nightshaded the lens, and I drilled a hole in the 2006 taillight to accept my turn signal bulb [Like the 98 and older taillights with a seperate turn signal], which it was not designed for. Maybe this has somethin to do with how the LED is displayed, but the regular filament bulb fills up the whole turn signal chamber...

Light meter, to set the exposure time on the camera. Bright light=short exposure, dim light=long exposure.
he metered different spots to kinda give you an idea of the light output, and what the lights actually look like.

I returned the 3-watt LEDs I got from superbrightleds.com, but if anyone was interested in how they look, here is a video I took when I put them in the turn signal

thats a tiny dot huh? not at all what I expected. Think i'll stick to my stock lights. Looks better with the covers anyway. Truck looks good though. Was it just me, or did it blink opposite of your line of fire?

Ya it blinks opposite when the brakes are on, not sure why but I like the idea cuz I think it draws more attention to when your making a turn

I most definitely need to take a video. My entire housing is lit up and it seems a whole lot brighter than the 3-watt superbrightleds. Soon I'll have videos and daytime pictures for all of you.

The 3rd brake light shipped out today, July 25th, from Anaheim. It should be here in Ohio on Monday or Tuesday and I'll have pictures and video soon thereafter.

If you are interested in Rear facing RED led bulbs for your truck I have the answer for you. The L1224R's that I have give excellent results and you do not have to open up your tail lights to install them. I also have an excellent replacement on the way for the 3rd brake light. PM me if you are interested in learning more about the conversions.
