lost and need help with fogs

Icon5 lost and need help with fogs

ok so i bought new fogs for my truck that was not equipt. with them from the factory. i guess ill explain with pics sorry if its a lil confusing and thanks again in advance...

i took the front cover off to expose the hole for the fogs
with it on:

this is whith the fog in it but it just doesnt look rite

from the back you can see there is no way to attach the light

so i was thinking that i need to cut the cover cuz there are little studs that hold on the cover with 7/16 nuts (cant really see the studs in the pic but they are attached to the cover where the somewhat clean spot is):
