Miscellaneous small parts needed..

The truck is a 2000 Ranger xlt supercab. 4 door with jump seats. I am needing the following small parts: a couple of torx gead bolts that hold the bed rails on to the top of the bed. The bolts are a T30. See pics. The pics show the type of rails on this truck. I need three or four of the small rubber caps that go over the torx bolts. Also see pics.any one having these parts, pls contact me here through the messages. Thanks, David.

If you don’t have any of these parts, can you recommend a place or person to obtain them? Surely out of 52 views, someone can help out.

Any decent hardware store, possibly even Lowes or Home Depot would carry T-30 torx bolts. Just pull one of yours and take it with you to get the right length. You may have to settle for a round or button head, as the flat head on yours are hard to find.
Same for the bolt head caps...Lowes and Home Depot carry various sizes, also easy to find on Amazon. Just measure the size of the plastic cap, interior diameter.
Stuff your looking for is easy to find, just check your local stores.

To take it one step further.....
A torx thread is not the same as either SAE or Metric thread...it is a thread pitch designed to be "torx thread"
There are very close sae threads and metric threads that may or may not replace a torx...for example a 7/32 sae is very close to a T-30, and so is a 1/4 inch sae thread. Depending on how the original torx threaded hole was cut, either may "fit".
But, you run the risk of stripping out the hole...maybe, maybe not.
So, just look for the right T-30 bolt The torx head style you have is called a "cheese head" due to it's round flattened shape. Hard to find, but you may find a "button head" T-30 torx which is OK as your going to cover the bolt anyway. But, the plastic bolt cap
probably won't snap over a button head...so, clean out the recessed hole with some alcohol and use a dab of black silicone to hold the cap on.

Misc. small parts...

Grumpaw........ thanks for the lesson in torx threads. Didn’t know that. I’ll check the HD and Lowe’s to see what I can come up with. David.
