Bought a 1995 Ford Ranger XLT (extended cab)? Couple questions, had a fuel leak in the nylon line so I took the bed of the truck off to fix the problem. In doing so I broke one of the Torx bolts that hold the bed on. I don’t want to put the rusty bolts back and was wondering if there was a different solution other than spending $45 on a replacement set? Anything wrong with going to Home Depot and buying some different nuts and bolts same size or similar?

Don't go to Home Depot, Chinese junk and poor quality bolts.
Go to a proper auto parts store or machine shop and get some descent bolts, they'll be marked with 6 or 8 lines on the head.

If the Home Depot bolts are marked indicating a good bolt, then they will be OK, or at least they should be.
