My front bumper is starting to look sh!tty. It's chipped up from stones and starting to rust under the paint. I try to touch up as much as I can whenever I see any but it's hard to keep up with and i'm still getting rust. I think after this winter i'm gonna strip it down to bare metal, POR-15 the whole thing then prime and paint it. Any of you ever do this? I know there's no way to avoid the chipping but I would like it to look as good as it can as long as I have the truck. Any tips on doing this? Any special paint I should use?

 

I would use a paint with a very hard and durable clearcoat in it or if you have the money get some Aviation paint. I work at an airport and let me say some of the paint they use for aircrafts is like rhino liner.
