The only grey thing left on the exterior is the pad on top of the back bumper. I am thinking it is not worth messing with. Those things are a royal PITA to take off. Should I?

Nope, The paint i used is specifically for automotive exterior plastic, no primer or adhesion promoter necessary.

Where can you get that plastic paint or whatever it is? I have always wanted my valance and trim to be black and not that gray color...

The paint used (i picked it up at a local auto paint store) and the prep work i did was using a degreasing cleaner (B52 for me) and a brush to give the paint a clean surface to stick to. You could also use Krylon Fusion, much cheaper.

Looks good.

As far as the step pad on the back goes, why not do the same thing you did with the front? Tape off the bumper, and paint the pad black?
