I had thought about doing this myself but decided not to because I figured the paint would wear off and look bad pretty quickly. If you decide to do it, Krylon and Rustoleum make really good paint to use on plastic. Make sure you prep it really well. By that I mean light sanding and a thorough cleaning with alcohol or acetone.

Plasti-Dip might be a good option to explore. There are some good videos on Youtube about how to put it on and how it works.

You will destroy them when your feet hit them. I highly suggest against it.

I personally dont have any experience with it but from what i have seen and heard it is pretty durable(months-years). It can also be removed in minutes if you don't like the way it turned out. i would suggest doing some research on it yourself to see if it is what you are looking for.

If I could find and extra set I would paint them and see how it holds up, I like to have 2 of everything I paint so that I can replace it with little effort, lol
