Painting Ranger Emblems?

What would you think about having the Ranger emblems on the fender painted black? Do you think it would look good and how would you go about doing that?

I think some blacked 06s would look pretty good on a white truck. I saw a Nitemare the other day when I was down at the beach, sick truck.

Pick up some 06 up emblems, order 4 total incase of messups. And do black w/ chrome lettering. THAT would be SICK! imo.

fudge off 1wd. lol. I think it'll look good now. I change my mind, and am sometimes high, or drunk, you know that. lol.

I think it was involving all your chrome/polished rolled into my opinion if it'll look good on your truck. imo, won't look good on your truck, but on Andy's truck, aka all black, it'll look sick!

Alright I am doing it this week but have a few more questions. You think I should do flat black or Gloss black? How would I go about painting it? Just clean it and paint over it or do I need to use acetone and take the chrome off? Also do I need to put anything on top of the paint like some kind of sealer or anything?

IMO, remove the emblems period. clean'em with a toothbrush, detail the snot out of them. Dry them. Spray on DupliColor Adhesion Promoter. Then your color. IMO, i'd think about something like a dark dark graphite grey..gunmetal. but...to actually answer your question, i vote semi-flat. I think it'll be a good contrast to everything else. Actually, now that i actually think about it, paint it the same color as your grille and headlight mods...make everything match.

I would cover it in DupliColor auto clear...the clear coat in their automotive line of paints.

You could take acetone to it, but, it is a art you will find out...it'll smear all around. Then you gotta get a new q-tip and douse on a fresh batch and the smears will go away. It's sorta weird. Try it out.

I like that gun metal idea I am going to think about that but I think I am going all black. The clear coat I am going to use is Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Crystal Clear Matte Clear. Only because I have a big can of it and nothing to use it on. lol

haha...forgot that option as well. Matte clear looks really good ontop of flat black.....Gives it a nice satiny black shade. Too shiny imo for fender flares on my truck...ditched the idea.
