Is it okay to paint a diamond plate tool box to glossy black or rhino lining? I'm thinking about doing this b/c mine has lost its shine and its not coming back :(

 

sure it is. i'd go with rhino lining because itll hold up better to a beating than the paint will. use a metal primer first. then the color over that, if you decide to go with painting (probably the cheaper route)

and are you SURE your toolbox has lost its luster? sometimes its amazing what a good chrome polish and some type of buffer will do to dull chrome.

 

I've thought about goin the Herculiner route. Durable, DIY, cheap, easy to redo if something happens....

 

Didnt Blacktremor (Brian) have his toolbox LineX'ed? I have thought about doing the same to mine, let me know how it turns out if you do.

 

black rustoleum... u need a couple cans, helped my dad before and actually it's a nice thick coat, put like 4 coats on it, only cost like $25 or less for paint.

 

I'm thinking bout the rhino lining idea
