Sand Paper Question

Ok .......i nite shaded my tails a while back and my reverse lights turned out like $HIT. I want to tape off the reverse lights and sand them back down to the original white that was there.

I have a 12 inch x 6 inch piece of used 240 grit and a fresh peiece of 320 grit sand paper.

Im just wondering if either of those is a fine enough grit to sand down the paint?

this is how they look now
This is similar to what i want it to look like

Thanks guys for your help.....i really wanna get this started now.

I have euros on my truck now but i wanna stay in tonight and save my gas so, im trying to keep busy.

HELP!

CJ

I would not sand them as this will frost the plastic. I would tape off the area leaving the part you want cleared and try either rubbing alcohol, acetone (finger nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner on a rag and wipe off the niteshade coating.
