Take apart mirrors??

So ive only had the ranger for a couple weeks only 600 kms on it too, and was driving to work, had a kid (in highschool age group) he ran into the side of my truck and broke the glass/plastic piece out. Anyways, talked to icbc asap to make sure they had my side of the story and a witness i had prove it was not my fault (it was offically told 100 per cent not my fault today) which i knew!

BUT

the ****ty part is since he is a teenager still and was a pedesterian i gotta pay for a new mirror and see if he will pay me back. Found a used one off a 09, so can i just "pop" the mirror part out and take the "guts" and put it in my trucks mirror (its a 09 too). If not i got a body shop that will paint it to match for some beer money.

Take a look through these instructions for mounting and wiring Muth signal mirrors. In the Ranger section, they explain how to pop the glass off and snap the replacement on. Once you figure out where to pry, it takes about a minute to swap them.
