There are so many brands and similiar styles out there it's hard to tell. If it's for sale just e-mail the guy and ask.

id buy it for 50, and i already have a cap. when i got a 'glass cap for my '88 back in '91 a new 'glass shortbed ranger cap was $600, a aluminum one was $300. used caps are pretty hard to come by around here. i once got a used cap at a aution for a full size, paid 150 for it, ended up being too wide for the bed so i just used wood 1x4's to make it work. that looks like a longbed cap to me. low profile, good visability with the window glass it has. mine has a tapered roof, big rear door. my first ranger (the '88) had a std high cap and id always bang my head forgetting to duck when id get something out of the back and go to leave. got lucky with this truck, it came with a cap. looks alot like a leer, mines a gemtop. has no front window, just a boot that seats up against the cab. some snugtops are like that.

I would guess LEER, but couldn't swear to it. Yes, $50 is a great deal.

Well guys, I went and picked up the cap for $50, it was a little bit of a drive but well worth it for the money. It is a Leer, needs a couple new latches for the side windows but overall it's in great shape. Trigger01 how much did it cost you to get your cap painted?

Well, I went to the LEER dealer today to try and get prices on some parts. I need to buy new hydraulic arms, new lock and I have a broken hinge that tilts the side windows out in the back, but they can't order it because its been discontinued. I have no one idea where I'm gonna get that hinge...

It cost $250 to get it painted at a dealership.

Ouch, well I got to get the cowl hood painted too, I'm better off getting it all painted at once. That will be a nice bill

Actually that was a good price. A local body shop wanted a minimum of like $400 with no prep work done.

do you have a local community college that has a body shop program? if so go and talk to them about having it painted by a student. i did that with my car had the back half repainted for $125 just pay materials.

If it comes down to it my dad can paint it, he has a spray gun; he restored our 72' Ski-doo TNT and repainted the hood and frame - came out pretty nice.
