Wanting to change to prerunner style, but problems...

I want to take off my front bumper valence and make my truck have a prerunner front. The problem is that I have a full brush guard which wraps around the valence. I took the valence off today in the hopes of painting it, but I just thought of leaving it off. The grille guard sits really low under where the valence would be, and there is a huge gap when the valence is off. I'll need to cut the guard and weld a bracket on or bolt it on to the frame. It would look like a hummer H1 front style grille deal.
The other problem is that the frame and brackets and junk show with the valence off.

ummmm prerunners usually dont have a full brush guard, instead i suggest you get a prerunner bumper instead that welds onto those mounts.

I know prerunners don't have a full brush guard, but I want a setup similar to a H1, i'll post a pic if I find one. I'll just have to cut my guard and bolt/weld it to the frame. But I want to leave the valence off.

Here's a pic of my truck, with the valence on, but you can tell the grille guard brackets go under the valence which leaves a huge open spot.

Here is the idea i'm working towards. I want to cut my guard in the location of this H1, which would be at my frame rails, and make a nice plate to hide the bolts and junk under my bumper, and then a fairly large skid plate. It's alot of work. It's working towards non-prerunner, to a different look, period.

I don't have a welder, but I figure that I can bolt the pieces together, especially cause I don't want to weld to the frame. I can use the stock guard brackets but just cut them a little shorter.
My friend can work with aluminum, he's building a 30' boat, so he can make me a skid plate and such.

I've decided to just paint the valence and leave everything alone for now. I'm going back to college soon for the fall and need money for that.
