FYI, that s10 rim is 5 on 4 3/4" bolt pattern, so it might fit over the lugs on your truck, but it probably won't properly accept the tapered seat lugs...

huh?? there's no s10 rims in this thread.. the rim that i had on my truck as a spare is NOT for an s10.. real s10 rims will not fit on rangers.. its close but they wont fit trust me i have a ranger and an s10 and ive tried swapping rims and it dont work.. and if i did, i wouldnt have the rims i do now on the ranger and i'd be putting the stock s10 rims back on the s10.

anyhoo.. too damn cold to do anything outside lately.. i've been helping the neighbour get/split firewood but you warm up pretty fast doing that. i got an appointment to tomorrow see how i go about getting some training to run a dump truck, then im coming home and not sure yet..maybe work on the tailgate if its not too cold.

EDIT: if s10 rims fit on rangers, i'd had these rims on my ranger not the stock ones.

was thinking i should put my 4"x4" square custom rear bumper on first then i can "set" the height i want it to sit at when the gate is down so it doesnt hit the bumper.. just have to find some beefy plate and the end of it on the bumper then drill some holes and bolt it on then once its done i'll add some D ring tow hooks.. starting to get dark now, but im also repainting the bumper started grinding off the paint and rust and **** that was on it. next couple days i should have that on if its not too cold outside.

yeah... its definitely not my ideal situation, but i guess the bills come first.. luckily i have a bunch of stuff that i can do that doesnt cost money like bolt on the bumper, finish mounting my tailgate.. plus i got a racing mower to build to doesnt cost money either... stupid money.. why cant **** be free???? like wtf lol

for you kiddies that think i sat on my *** all day do nothing, well i got way too much stuff to do then sit on my ***..anyhoo..

brought the tailgate into the shop, welded up some more seams ground them down, got a thin coat of primer on it, then i remembered that i wanted to weld some "lips' on each end on the outside of the gate. so i got those cleaned up and cut and ready to weld onto the gate. they are just to "hide" the latches and stuff.. once that is done (possibly later on tonight) i can weld some brackets to my bumper and get that bolted up and then i can finish mounting the tailgate.. expanded metal will get added at a later date like the next few months or whenever i can afford it.

if i do find some money and get the truck back on the road before the tailgate is done, i still have the stock gate that i can throw on there.

well i went out today to weld the 2 little strips on the ends of the tailgate to "hide" the latches and stuff.. so i got one welded on took it out to the truck, damn on the wrong side of the tailgate i welded it on the inside of the gate instead of the outside, so i cut it off got it smoothed out again so gonna weld it on again tomorrow. then i will take some pics.

so i went out today and tack welded the strips where they are supposed to go in the right spot and test fit it on the truck... looks good. the drivers side gap is perfect the passenger side hangs up the bedside a little but so did my stock tailgate because of when i put the huge dent in the side it tweaked the bedside a little... no biggy, will just grind down the little strip some...

once i test fit it on the truck and i liked it i started welding it on, got some of it ground down smooth, once its down it will look the little 1 inch wide strip that i added was meant to be there..

didnt get pics today but will tomorrow, it was starting to get dark and i was too lazy to walk like 150ft into the house grab the camera, then walk the 150ft back to the truck.

damn forgot to get some pictures today... epic fail

also might have a stock rear bumper to put on my s10 (picture above) since im stealing the custom one that was on it.. bumper is a little rusty mostly surface rust couple other rust spots it would be a direct bolt on.

i was over at a friends house across the road helping him fix the brakes on his bush truck.. then we went into the trees and got some firewood, i split a bunch today..

^^^ passenger side, bottom still needs welding and grinding, middle is flush and the way it will look, top needs grinding. it looks like Plum Crazy's.

next 2 pics are the bedside/tailgate gaps

^^this is the driver's side as you can see the gap is awesome and thats how i wanted it

^^passenger side,as you can see the gap in the middle is not there but im going to grind the edge of the tailgate down a little bit, when i got the dent in the side of the truck it tweaked the bedside a little bit too thats why its a tight fit.

^^ and the gate on the truck. the pieces hanging over the top are getting cut off.. im going to try to heat it up at the top of the gate and bend it 90* degrees so it covers the top too.. but if i cant bend it i will just cut it off and weld on a 2 inch piece..

i have a picture of the driver's side of the gate before its welded but it was blurry a bit so i didnt bother.. its just tacked in place right now still needs welding and grinding.

while i was looking for some 3/4" soild rod to build handle bars for john deere build today i stumbled across some nice 1/8" plate that i've been looking for to make some mounts for the rear bumper... so i will do some measuring cut em then weld em to the bumper drill some holes and finally bolt that sob on the truck... then mount the tailgate.

also got the extra material on the top cut off and cut 2 pieces for the top ends still have to weld em on.. didnt feel like fawking around trying to bend **** in the cold!!! haha
