Custom Grille with lights?

anyone ever thought of it or tried it?
i was thinking today of how it might look to replace the grille with a plate with cutouts for airflow and for mounting some rectangular halogen lamps, i'm a noob with serious welding jobs, but it could probably done without any major welding, just cutting no?

Don't remember who, but there was a guy who mounted two round lights in his honeycomb grill. I thought that it looked pretty good.
