i have a 92 ford ranger 4x4. on the passenger door the top hinge has come off from where its mounted to the truck. i have a bungee cord holding the door close. ilooked and its rusted and such and just wanna know how to fix it. i have a buddy who is a welder and will weld what i need. if any one else has had this problem and fixed it or currently have this problem please talk to me!! or else the ranger is going on craigslist and dads going to the auction!!

IMHO, time for a new truck.
By the time you take your truck apart, reconstruct the side of the vehicle and reassemble, the time and material involved is going to be a lot more than you realize.
Maybe dad can help with a new truck...

 

How the rest of the truck? Is there a lot of rust? Any body damage?

If the door support is rotten, might be better off getting another truck, especially if the rust is that bad that it's causing major body pars to fail and fall off.

 

Might be cheaper to just buy a cab from a junkyard truck. Certainly not less work. Cheaper maybe...
