How to tell if I have a limited slip rear end

Plain 2001 Ranger 5 speed Nothing extra No 4X4...How to find if I have a limited slip Rear...Just put in amsoil and now I'm told I might need a friction modifier...I'm not a mechanic...Charlie

by the specs of the truck, i can pretty much assure that you dont have a limited slip but to tell, look at the tag on the door under AXLE.

get the code, and look here
