Grille Guard Mounts
I didn't feel like paying $37 for Westin's safari bar mounts....so I made my own.
Slotted angle Iron (36"): $10.61
Nuts, Bolts, and Washers: $6.46
Haveing an enjoyable afternoon in the garage: Priceless
First I cut the steel using a hacksaw into 2-11" pieces and 2-7" pieces
Then I widened the holes in the steel to allow the 3/8" bolts to slip through. Then I connected them together.
To mount them I unbolted the plastic "skid plate" and popped the plastic grommet out. I then slid the bracket behind it and tightened it all back down.
Heres the finished product.
I will post more pictures when I get the bar on. I got it today but a bunch of the paint was scratched so I have another one on order.

The are actually very sturdy. I think i may put in a cross brace just to make sure they are solid and dont move.
I got the bar mounted and the lights on heres the link: https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...725#post771725
