Did you compare the Ecoboost to the 5.0 at all? Test drive them both? How do they compare?

I drove a 2011 with the 5.0 last week and it was real nice.

EcoBoost is faster and has more HP and TQ I believe. It also can tow more.

I'm pretty sure its an all around better motor.

 

My dad has pretty much the same truck just with the 5.0. I do like the sound that the 5.0 makes but went with the ecoboost for the 2mpg better mileage it is getting on the highway over the 5.0 and the power it has. Both are real good motors if your going to tow heavy loads the ecoboost has the power you want and if your going to be just towing something now and then and don't care about 2mpg difference I would get the 5.0

i priced an extended cab w/ the 5.0L just an xlt 4wd, nothing special. if the dealer was to give me $12 for mine i could get into it for the same monthly that my ranger is.

kinda sad.... :(

Thanks guys for the nice comments it has been great going from the Ranger to this truck the ride and handling is so much better than the Ranger and having the power is you need it is a plus.
