Swoop1156's SVT Raptor 6.2

Since I made a thread in the wrong place and some people weren't pleased with my decision, I'll make a thread in the F-Series area. Perhaps it will go over better over here. Updated with new pictures, as well.

All I have in the way of mods right now is the following:
  • 15% tint on front windows
  • WeatherTech Ventvisors [temporarily uninstalled]
  • WeatherTech Digital Floor Liners
  • Ford Bedliner

Soon to have:
  • BakFlip F1 Tonneau Cover
  • Rigid Industries Dually Kit
  • Ford Racing Light Bar w/ KC Daylighter's
  • Backlit SVT Fender Vents

Soooooooooo nice. Going to look awesome with that light bar. I'm tempted to get one of the nfab ones for mine but I don't think it would pull it off.

Yeah, this company is trying and is offering to make somewhat OEM foglights and then LED lightbar mounts and applications for the Raptor and some other vehicles.

I like it. She is a bit tempermental in the morning, but an idle for a few seconds smooth's it out a bit more. She doesn't rev long, but she rev's hard. Shifts great with the 6-speed.

Ran a 15.1 @ 93 in the 1/4. I average about 16mpg.

That truck is so awesome, I'm pretty jealous.

I like the lights, although the are a little ugly being so "blocky". I would be curious to see the light output.

We just tinted the windows on a raptor with the 6.2l earlier this week and ya, of course we gave him a deal so we could take it for a "test" drive haha.

As much as I like the raptor I just can't see spending that kind of money for something that can be built for cheaper. Anyway it still looks badass and I'm not the one making the payments so more power to you. lol Looks sweet!

I mean really how can it be built cheaper. If you price out a equivalent FX4 your only around 3k less. Then shocks, flares and tires puts you easily over that difference. Not including not having all that warrantied and any ford dealership.

I definitely agree you could build one stronger but not for that price and not have the convience of having it warrantied.

The warranty yes its not gonna have that. And also your not going to be able to be a new F150 for that price. I guess I meant you can build a much stronger and capable rig for cheaper then that. Start with a older f150 like 200 or even a 2004 if you can find one cheap enough. And you could totally build one cheaper. But there would be no warranty and your probably not going to want to drive the built truck as a DD.

Oh for sure, you totally could. You could build up a super sick Ranger for that price easily. No doubt about that

An old high mileage f150 could be built for less money? Thanks captain obvious! lol

But we are talking about brand new, straight from the showroom. Quite a different story. I don't understand why people use this retarded argument. Someone wants a new truck, spend an extra few grand and get one that will beat the pants off of most everything else off road with a full warranty, and not have to deal with sourcing aftermarket parts and mix and matching components.
So you don't like it or cant afford it, that is the bottom line. Get over it and quit hating that someone else bought one.
