To me, I think a truck with four doors isn't worth it (no offense to the F-150 owners who have 4 doors) it just isn't my cup of tea, Hell, I barely like my own extended cab. I think anything with four doors isn't worth it, I like the fact that i am only able to take two, three people at the max.
I'm not saying everything with four doors sucks, but its just my opinion that i like two door cars only.

It depends on what you want I think. If your buying a truck to use it as a truck, then you really only need a 2 door.
If you use your truck as more of a family vehicle, then those extra 2 doors is nice.
If you give a sh*t less about the people in the backs comfort level, then its an extended cab or a Dodge 4 door lol!
Me personally, I rarely haul more people than just me and my gf, so my Ranger is fine. And to get the 4.0 4x4, I HAD to get an extended cab so i was stuck with that. If they made a regular cab, 4.0, 4x4, hell yea I woulda got one!
And another point, have you seen an extended cab, or 2 door short bed truck lifted wayyy the heck up there? its fugly!

first of all im 21 and the company i work i work im required to have a company truck. there is no way i can haul a welder air compressor and all the tools i need to work in the field with out a company truck that is set up.

but anyway i want a 4 door because i want to have a family vehicle. when we go out to ride four wheeler and camping its nice to take only one vehicle. but i want an fx4 because i like the looking of them the best and the options they come with

Best of luck on whatever you find. I love the 97-03' F150's, but the interiors are hideous (this coming from someone with a 00' 350, lmao). Exteriors are gorgeous however!

lol @ the company truck thing, I was assigned my own semi for my last 3 jobs that I would take to go get groceries if I wanted, at the age of 18-20.

My family had a 2001 F-350 Lariat with the leather. That was some gorgeous interior!!! But it was somewhat rare

I'm surprised your company is even letting you have any input on what type of truck they provide you

My dads company tell the managers and VPs to go out and pick a vehicle and they will pay for it.

My dad got a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 5.3L brand new
His foreman got a 2006 H3T brand new and now he got a 2011 Cadillac SRX brand new a few months ago

There boss figures they pretty much live out of there vehicles (they put 30-50k on there vehicles every year) so they should have what they want

I figured that's true for many people in those positions in good companies. I wouldn't peg Downey for a manager or VP

Whenever i'm out of the shop on ROUSH business, I get to drive a company truck,
One of these (http://www.roushcleantech.com/content/ford-f-350)
A F350 Propane powered Super duty.
I'm required to have a Chauffeurs license if i want to drive, and i cannot have any moving violations within a year.
