Ok. I am going to put this out there and see what happens!
I have been chasing OBD codes for long enough that I am ready to acquire a distributor, coil pack an aftermarket ignition control box, and a nice middle of the road Holley 4Bl carb. Take the upper intake off of the lower, Have my machinist buddy fabricate an upper intake to accept said carb. and bolt down to the original lower intake manifold. Reduce the fuel pump pressure to an acceptable level, install a K&N filter system, a decent set of headers and appropriately designed mufflers and Then a full set of mechanical gauges.
Then REMOVE FOREVER the associated emissions and anything else that can be an issue as well as disconnecting the in dash check engine/ gauges / airbag lights and see if it will actually run. This way I would have "old school control of the basics like timing,air/fuel mixture.Tired of dealing with the gremlins! Any body have thoughts or notice anything that I haven't considered? Thanks.
