05 motor and trans to 99 donor truck

I have a rolled 05 4x4 4.0 automatic ranger w/ 36k miles on it. Found a 99 step side w/ blown 4.0 will my motor and trans fit? I've been looking for 3 years for a decent donor truck so I hope the answer is yes.

If you are up to do the work it can. But you have to swap just about everything over. Engine, trans, engine harness, battery harness, computer, the 99 doesn't have pats so you'll have to swap over the pats system which will include switching over the dash harness and all that fun stuff or get a tuner for the computer that disables the pats system.

as stated, yes if you do the work you can make it happen. My 99 DID have PATS so you may have it.

It sucks when having to make a key, you need a truck specific key to start your truck but thats besides the point
