2005 ish Motor Oil - Whats your choice ?
I have the 4.0 sohc.
I have used the following, with an approx of milage :
0 to 78k覧- motorcraft blend 5w30
78k to mid 150 k 覧 Mobil Super Synthetic
150k to current ( 178k)覧- alot of Quaker State Full Synthetic, towards the 170痴 some Pennzoil Platnium ( made from natural gas )
0 to 75k 覧 motorcraft filter
75k to now覧 always a Wix filter
You supposed to get 10k out of Pennzoil Platnium but i have found it gets black before that so i am now back on my QS Full Syn and i change that at 7000.
I like the oils that have alot of molybendulmsulfide. You can feel the moly between 2 fingers . Like teflon ball bearings.
These are :
Mobil Super Synthetic ( NOT mobil one )
Quaker State Full Syn
