i got a great story to that effect ... so one of my buddies lives in tahoe and his friend was out one night driving around in an old mustang on street tires in a fairly decent snow ... so hes drivin up donner summit from the tahoe side and a cop tries to pull him over ... so he books it figuring he can lose the cop in the boreal ski resort parking lot. He goes to go off the unplowed onramp, his mustang gets stuck, so he just takes off running lol ... CHP is now stuck on the onramp also.

So boreal is closed, he manages to find a phone, calls my buddy. So my buddy calls his friend with an f350, they go up there but come into boreal from the soda springs side ... finds this moron with no jacket or nothing. They then manage to flag down the guy grooming the runs and give him some beers to pull the mustang out of the snow.

So the dude in the groomer goes over there and the cop is still next to his stuck crown vic

Cop: do you know whos car that is?
Groomer: no but i figure it needs to be moved

so he pulls the mustang out of the way and the guy with the f350 drives the mustang into boreal (the guy whos mustang it is is hiding in the truck lol)
... so while the guy with the groomer is rolling up the tow strap the chp asks him to pull him out ... groomer tells him

NO WAY BRO SHOULDA THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU GUYS GAVE ME ALL THEM TICKETS!

Nope not just Utah, Les Schwab is an Oregon based company started in Prineville Oregon in 1952. History for those whom are interested.

I was quoted $222.73 per tire for a total of $961.92 mounted and balanced of course we don't have sales tax here in Oregon so the price might be more in Utah. That is for 245/75R 16 by 10. If you have 15x7 inch rims they are cheaper I had 235/75r15 by 9.5 on my other Ranger, at least I think that was the size. I think those tires go up to 38 by 12 but I am not 100% on that, I know for sure they make them in a 35 because that is what my friend has on his Chevy not sure of the width on the 35s though.
