4x4 Appearance/trims

So I have been looking for a 4x4 Ranger and came across one today.
It is a 4x4, but what confuses me is that there are no flares on it, I thought all 4x4 (style/fleetside) came with flares. Was there a certain package that did not??

Nope here is mine stock (well mostly). It's probably an XLT 4x4 like mine!

Yeah it's the "lower end" 4x4 I guess. I could care less about some extra plastic even though they do look nice.

I don't have power windows, door loocks, and power windows. I don't care though and I didn't want them. I'm still glad after over a year of owning it that I don't. It's just more to break and fix. I'm kinda odd like that though and I don't need those creature comforts too much. Just think when you sink your truck you don't have to worry about fixing any of that power stuff. You don't have to spend time and money fixing/replaicng power stuff either. I have a truck and I don't care Mine does have a 6disc CD player stock!

less to fix is always better...but i just liked having my entry key pad...didnt have to worry about my keys when at the gym or snowboarding...and to have that you need the power door locks...

Get an aftermarket alarm installed. You'll have the option of getting power door locks. They asked me if I wanted to and I said no. If I remember correctly is wasn't very expensive to add them either.

You're alao a 99' that might make a difference. They do tend to change little things like these over the years.

i am not sure if mine is a value package, but maybe it is. but i don't have the flares, but i do have the power locks, windows, and 4 doors (i think fmd told me that the value package didn't include the 2 suicide doors.)

you'd be surprised at how many 04+ 4x4 rangers didn't have flares. I wish mine didn't come with flares.....now it has no flares. Sometimes referredto as the "Value Pkg 4x4". But i think it's one of those "hey lets not put flares on these today" sorta things.
