5.0 swapping a 2000 Ranger 3.0 Flex fuel extended cab

I have planning on swapped my ranger from 3.0 to a 1997 explorer 5.0 i have the entire explorer, i also have a manual transmission setup, i will but up the m5odr2 from the f150 4.2, will this all work ?

My concern is the pats, since the 1997 explorer is non pats year and my 2000 has pats will that have en effect ?

For the fuel return can i swap a returnless fuel line and still start the truck ?

What clutch and flywheel can i use ?

In the Ranger 2WD or 4x4?

Yes, the M5OD-R2(M5R2) from a 1997-2003 F150 with 4.2l V6 will bolt to the Explorer 5.0l V8, and shifter is in the same location
Must match 2WD or 4x4
You will need to drill out the M5R2 bell housing bolt holes 1/16" as the 4.2l used Metric size and 5.0l used SAE

PATS won't matter, but you will need to Ground the Starter Relay in the Engine fuse box, as it was grounded by PATS module in 2000 Ranger
Its a Pink/orange stripe wire that runs from above glove box(where PATS module is) to the engine fuse box

2000 Ranger used 55-65psi single line fuel system
1997 Explorer 5.0l, not sure, but read it used same as 1997 Ranger which was 30-40psi with a return line

The fuel pumps were the same just the Fuel Pressure Regulators were at different locations, and of course set at different pressures
FPR is in the gas tank in 2000
At the engine in 1997
Do you may need to get a 1997 Ranger fuel pump assembly and add a return line

The issue is the computer, there is no fuel pressure sensor
The computer is programmed for "how much fuel" will flow out of 1 injector in say 1 second when its opened
At 35psi there will be less fuel flowing out than at 60psi, so...............1997 computer will set RICH codes full time because too much fuel is coming out of the injectors with 60psi
