Destroying bedsides

Well I got my 33x12.50 and I love them. Just if I flex at all they hit the bedsides. The lower parts of my flares just hang now and I keep bending the metal with the tires. I kinda need a fix. I think larger bumpstops would limit my articulation too much so I was thinking more along the lines of shackles. What do you guys think. I don't think it is neccessarily a good thing to have my tires hit the bed everytime I go over anything the size of a curb or larger.

haha welcome to hell mine did it on both sides screwed them all to hell i got in there and rebent them back and re-painted the chiped off paint. one thing that i think is the problem is the axle is moving forward i think a nice set of Duff bars will solve it and bending the bed side back passed where its supposed to be. thats how Alon did his, i bent mine back to normal but i haven't done anything to warrant it happening again...

Shackles won't solve the basic problem. They just mean that the axle needs to travel an extra 1"~2" before the contact happens.

Have you considered pulling the bedsides slightly?

I think pulling them might work pretty good. Also might keep some cops off of my back cuz these things stick out an incho or so.

If you get good at pulling them help me with mine, lol.

I repegged my flares closer to the bed and that helped some. I never bent any metal though but I have bigger blocks and what not also.

yes pulling the bedsides is not to hard. i did it to mine and i have so much more room for flex and before i got my bedsides pulled i would hit going overa speed bumb. and the traction bars helped.

Thats exactly where they hit. The rubber keeps bending the lil lip on the inside edge outward.

same problem I have with my sport and the sports have that extra little flare so it even easier to destroy.
