ABS Overly Sensitive

ABS Overly Sensitive
I have a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0, 2WD. Most of the time when I brake normally (steady pressure all the way to stop) I can feel the ABS kick in even though there is no need for it. I feel the pedal give a little and there is a humming sort of noise that comes from the pedal. There is no ABS light on at this point and the truck stops just fine as long as I keep the pressure on and the ABS works like it should when braking fast at high speeds. If I disconnect the front ABS sensors the trucks brakes perfectly without the issue happening. To try to repair I have bled the brake lines and replaced all of the ABS sensors. The next logical thing would be the ABS pump but I would think the ABS light would be on if the issue was the ABS pump.
Thanks in advance or any help.

I have a 2004 ranger, 4x4 XLT value pkg.,...
I have had it since new. And have ALWAYS had problems with the ABS. It gets REALLY SCARY when hauling 4000lbs of firewood in a 14' trailer, its 75F and sunny, and you go to brake and ABS kicks on essentially removing your ability to use the brakes.
I suppose it probably would have been smarter to leave the system enabled, I imagine my multi million dollar Ford settlement would have been coming any day now LOL
I disabled my ABS. its the pink fuse under the hood, forget which one look it up in the manual (I have the 4.0)
Creative steering saved me from many possible accidents when the ABS kicked on.
With out ABS, you dive the truck as normal. with the fuse pulled you get the ABS and brake light on the dash, but no code is created.
you can either live with the light or pull the bulb.
I lived with the light.

The old 2000 S10 had ABS that went off if a wheel went over a stick on the road when stopping. It would pull to the side pretty hard sometimes due to that. Very nice if in heavy traffic with cars on both sides.
I thought about pulling the fuse, but decided that would make it automatically my fault if there was an accident. Never got around to doing it, but I was going to put a blown fuse in for the one that ran the ABS. That way it would not look like I deliberately shut down the ABS.
