AC compressor question

I have a 94 Ranger w/2.3. I just replaced the timing belt and now the AC compressor cycles on and off every few seconds. I know they cycle repeatedly but this is too fast to cool. When it come on it tries to cool but the compressor doesn't stay on long enough.

I've NEVER had a seconds problem with the AC. It's worked perfectly since day one. It's starting to get a little warm here in the sunny south LOL

Thoughts?

Checked that, all looked "OK". Hard to tell with the compressor going on and off.

rapid cycling usually means it's low on freon.
