Air bag help

I just got done washing my ranger and when i got it to move it up the drive way the airbag warning light came on. I put on my seat belt, then it started to blink slowly. I just washed the outside didn't even do the engine bay or wheel wells. Anyone know what the problem is?

i checked fuses 8 and 9, both good. Is there a fuse for the airbag itself? also there is no chime dinging either

You have to count the blinks. Then we can tell you what the problem is...

like how many times it blinks, then stops for about 5 seconds then keeps blinking in the same rhythm as before?

it has to blink a series of two numbers. ie, 2 times, a short pause, then 5 times. long pause, then 2 again, etc.

the sequence is 4-6-4 it does this series about 3-4 times then it stays on solid.

is this the wire that comes from under the seat, into the seat? if so how far into the seat does the connection go? and just a side question, what would that have to do with the airbag?

it's the yellow plug under the seat. it goes to the pretensioner on the seat belt. when the bags deploy, it jerks the seat belt tighter to lock the belt/keep you in.

well i unplugged it and plugged it back in and it seems to be working so far, knock on wood. Hopefully it solved it. Say it didn't would the airbag still go off or is it just for the seatbelt tensioner?

Actually, code 46 is for high resistance in the driver side pretensioner circuit. Code 47 is for the passenger side.
