I need help,

I repaced Alt in 1999 ranger 3.0ffv and didn't make any juice so i took it out for exchanged another ALT from autozone and still small problem. fuse 7.5 in dash looks ok and fuse 30 in engine dist box looks ok. iam stumped.

Did you check the voltage at the back of the alternator with the engine running?

 

check for voltage off the post on the alt, then the connector then the wire working your way to the battery. any drop in voltage indicates a bad connection and that part needs cleaned/replaced

 

Tech found 125 Volts fuse blew up, he had to order new fuse by ford company and now it making volts, much better now.
