Will i need the Shift Extension? It Says only for mazda Transmisions but i just want to makr sure...also another question i have is will i be able to install the spindels in my uncles shop he has everything i should need but it is something that 2 people could do in a weekend. The only thing i'cv heard about haveing problems with is installing the ball joints? ior something like that. I have a machine shop i can use if need be..but just wanted to check... I will also be getting my 4:56 gears installed some time in the next few weeks and new tires and wheels...so i'm really stoked and ready i'll have pictrues up as soon asw everything is installed......O yeah also about the bodylift how much moding will i have to do to the front bumper frame horn things? thanks for ur time! :D

All current manual transmission Rangers have Mazda transmissions including yours.

the bodylift and spindles could be done in one weekend if you have the shop and a few guys who know what they are doing, when we did ryans bodylift, we didnt have to do anything to the frame horns, but we did have to drill out some bushings, which was no big deal.

ps maybe too many people arent replying because your title is kind of vague?

Yes shifter extension
No frame horn modification
Yes you can do it all in a weekend
Yes title vague
Only problem I have had is with my mount for my cupholder screws breaking and the console not sitting right and the shifter hitting it.

Good luck with the installs, can't wait to see it:)

It was just annoying working in the cab. Don't forget the steering extension.

i have a 3 inch body lift and we did it in like 4 hours... with three people... but i have a manual tranny too and i didnt put in the extension on or the steering one too... you will also need to cut off your fan shroud and and do the engine ground relocation. the bracket should come with the kit. and also dont forget the e-brake put the new bracket on... other than that have fun and be safe.

hmmm working in the cab....man i'v got some thinking to do about this one.....what all needs to be done in the cab? and also it says nothing about the steering linkage just the shift ex. I'm gonna have a few friends to help me so it shouldn't be that big of a deal

It's kind of odd, but Ford has never made a manual transmission Ranger with a Ford manual transmission. All factory installed manual transmissions in Rangers have been Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyo Koygo transmissions.
