Rear Leaf Spring Hangers, Rockauto Good Deal

Since I am swapping in new leafs, and my 8.8 sometime eventually I decided I should do the dreaded rusty rear shackle hangers as well. I bought my angle grinder at Harbor Freight last month for the project also.

I've been looking around at prices and I have gotten everything from $25 a piece (without hardware) from Autozone to almost $100 with everything on eBay. I figured I would just end up spending $50 at Autozone for them and have to do a hardware hunt for another $20 or so for Grade 8 bolts and nuts.

Someone on here turned me onto Rockauto.com for Moog Balljoints and Control Arms (also a deal, $200 for everything) and while I was there I decided to look up the shackle hangers.

Dorman shackle hangers with hardware. $15 a piece. No joke. I was like..jaw drop..ordered. I think next I just need some Chevy drop shackles to go with them.

If ANYONE needs shackle hangars, whether preventative or you have already broke them, this is THE BEST DEAL I HAVE SEEN.

Now, if only rockauto sold time. That is really all I need now.

Dorman makes some great priced stuff. I sell tons of it at work! A thermostat housing for my Focus that used to be $70 from the dealer plus the separate o-rings is available Dorman all together in a kit for like $35!

Very nice. I wasn't sure on what brand to get. I hope it is quality steel. I defiantly don't want to have to replace these again in 5-10 years. Maybe get them powder coated?
