Man this would be a hard decision for me. but i would not be trading mine in.

I personally love the 01-03.

I want a newer ranger for DD though.

would you still want to wheel the 07? Seems you like to wheel the 01...

I like my 04. I just want a manual t-case. That's the only difference I see between my truck and a comparable 02 or 03. I'd love a rubber floor too, but I can't complain with what I have other than no manual t-case

Exactly. Those are my two big reasons that I haven't purchased the rig as of right now. I love the looks of my current truck. I can't say that for this new one. The reason I got my pre-owned '01 was to wheel. It was never meant to be a daily driver, but I liked it so much, that's what it became. I'm in NJ, so purchasing a new rig + keeping my current truck = a huge car insurance bill. So, since I've decided that I won't keep both, I have to ask myself, if I only had one or the other, I'd have to keep my current rig. I like it that much over the Level-II, even though the new L-II is brand new and without scratches.

if i bought a new ranger, it would sit in my shop for about a month as i 'bring it up to speed' with my old(current) truck.

I have given it some thought tho. I actually thought that they might gimme both for the price of one for a day so i could swap everything off my 04 onto the new one.... however i highly doubt theyd do that LOL

but over all, i am not happy about the new rangers... the tailgates look retarded imho and the front end, man, thats just scary.

oh and Just so we have an uderstanding, in august 2005, they were offering FX4 lvl 2 rangers for $18,000.

And, I got $5500 off the sticker of mine, i wish i had waited a year. what i paid for mine, they were selling the lvl2's for.

Actually when I had my superlift and a few other things I went to the dealer to trade.

1 I did not want to pay the bill to straighten the frame
2 I did not want to fix all the body damage.

They told me I could have both trucks for the weekend if I want to swap over the Lift, wheels, tires, etc...

they said just as long as they got the old truck back.

needless to say i decided to straighten the frame and get the body work fixed.

Seeing that my truck is missing several stock items and safety features, I would imagine my truck would not be worth jack to the dealer. at least that is what i would think, cant say i have tried.

i have no idea why a person wouldn't want the rubber floor! i love mine, i don't worry about getting in with muddy boots, and i expect it to really shine once winter rolls around! i like my truck, but i wish it had a manual shift transfer!

I didnt think i would like the rubber either, but i love it. with the slush mats in there, all you have to do to clean it is yank the mats hose everything down, scrub it with a soapy brush and hose it again. everything drains out the holes in the back of the cab. i just wish i could have gotten the blue black seats like in the sport with mine. But alas, i get grey/black.
