Bad Brake Purchase ?

2004 model. About 8 months ago my worn rear drums were squealing so I replaced them. I chose ACDELCO drums and RAYBESTOS brake shoes. Loud squealing since day one while moving slowly in traffic. Never a squeal during a harder braking. I was hoping with time the squealing would cease after wear. Is it quality of the brake shoes or something else?

Did you grease the parts, like where the shoes metal touches the dust cover/back plate, there are little bumps that hold the shoes out, they need to be greased, the backing plate acts like a amplifier

I don't recall greasing the "bumps" at those contact points. Will check those.
Thanks.

Squealing eliminated !! "Bumps" were bone dry. I put anti-seize lube on the bumps.
Thank you for the help.
