Bed demensions. Camper shell??

I just purchased a bare-bones 2001 Ranger with 85k miles. With a 6' bed. It's going to be used as a work rig. I need a camper or utility shell to lock up tools. No way I want to pay nearly what the truck cost for a new shell. Looking online it looks like from 1993 to 2011 the bed demensions did not change. Am I wrong? Would a 6' shell from a 94 Ranger fit my 2001?
thanks

Welcome to the forum

Yes, it will fit............IF, its not a style side bed and yours is not a style side bed

Style side(Flare side) beds are narrower that standard Ranger beds

Regular cab and extended cab both used the same 6' beds
And style side was available on any model except long bed

Regular cab did have optional 7' Long bed, and no, you can't put long bed on 6' bed truck, long bed's rear axle was 6" farther back so wheel well won't fit

I have the same shell on my 2002 Ranger that I had on my 89 Ranger. The exterior of the 02 bed seems to taper in (narrower) toward the rear where my 89 did not. However, the shell still fits and looks decent on the 02.
