Actually I've got 95% of the parts and machine work done already. At this point I just need to balance the pistons a little better (about 0.5 grams difference right now... and am making them perfect).

I'm going to be pushing 15psi boost and a 200shot of direct port nitrous on top of that. If you check the racetested.com site and look for a direct port lightning kit you'll see what I helped Denny engineer/design. (were working on the next generation right now which will wind up in my truck)

So... it's basicly a 5.4L lighting motor with perfect machining, balancing, and forged everything. Running a set of comp 278s that have been specifically made for this motor (113 lobe sep). And the heads flow about 40% more than when they were stock. Should be 600 crank hp w/o nitrous and 800 on nitrous.

Here is the kicker.. I'm building this motor to be completely drivable. I love to take it on cross country trips, tow the boat, runs to home depot, cruise, and go to the dragstrip a couple times a year. So everything I'm doing has longevity in mind. IMO the cams were a little over the top... but I just LOVE the rumpity rump idle.

Thanks for the compliments on the ranger! I think I'm picking up a westin bull bar here soon. I bought a set of silverstars bulbs last night for the headlights.. & am trying to find a set for the fogs? I'll mod this thing somewhat... but not too much.

HA HA! Well, I see it now -- can't believe I missed that, lol. Good name -- it really looks Welsh or something, lol...(maybe it's an insult in Welsh or something, who knows?)

I didn't get back to this post but I saw another one by you about Silverstars and then remembered asking you this question...

It's absolutely true.. these tires are horrible!!

It snowed today and then turned to ice on the way home. Good grief..

btw guys.. is there a mail order / bolt on cat back that exits on both sides behind the tires? (out the sides)

Sorry to hear that.. it's all about timing IMO. There are good deals out there. You just gotta be at the right place at the right time.
