Changed my brake pads and Found something else

Howdy!
I changed the brake pads on my donated Ranger yesterday and noticed this cracked thing. Could someone tell me what thats called? I also saw that the upper and lower ball joint...gaskets I think their called..the bellows looking things..were half in tact. Would the prudent thing be to just replace the entire ball joint on the opper and lowers?

I've included a pic of what one of the ball joint gaskets looks like. They're all in a similar condition.

Yep, the last pic is a SwayBarLink that needs replacing; buy a kit or make your own with Bolts+Bushings.
May want to consider rebuilding the entire front suspension.
Good news is, the SpiderWeb looks in good shape & doesn't need replacing!

Good catch on that crack. I should probably replace the front end suspension as was suggested.

EDIT: I pulled the tire and its not cracked. just an odd angle/shadow. thank goodness. My budgets almost spent and I still need to replace the cracked windshield.

I'm pretty sure what we are looking at on the first picture is the spindle/steering knuckle. I also think, according to this diagram, that the second pic is the tie rod end, not the sway bar link as DILLARD000 said.

At center of OP's 2nd pic in the 1st post is definitely a SwayBarLink with the sleeve split open & missing\worn bushings,
shown but not numbered in your diagram above. But maybe you're from Europe & refer to Moose as Elk or visa~versa?
Anyhow, consensus seems to be he needs a full front end rebuild, with all of these parts renewed.

I think this part needs a replacement because it looks rusted and it may break up anytime. Well, I do not recall the name of these parts but the diagram posted by one of the forum members seems authentic and that can be used to figure out the name of the part incase you wanna change it. Keep us posted would you?
