Magnaflow vs. Borla

Magnaflow vs. Borla
The question is: Is a Borla muffler so much better than Magnaflow to justify the $40 more?
I have done my re(search). Lots of it. I have read countless muffler wars threads. I know gains from an exhaust setup are minimal, but gain is gain, and I believe the best gains come from straight through mufflers like Magnaflow or Borla. I have had a Flowmaster 40. The sound was nice at first, but the drone was killer. I must be too old...
I am not too concerned with sound, but i don't want it to sound like a ricer, or be obnoxiously loud.
Although there is a concensus on straight through mufflers, I could never find a clear answer: Magnaflow or Borla.
For a Borla, I was thinking a single in/single out 2.5" Pro Xs
For a Magnaflow, single in/single out , but there are so many it makes my head spin.

I didn't real notice anything different in performance from when I had my glasspacks. I switched too, mainly because of how loud there were, I felt as if I were getting old. My Borla Pro X/S is a SI/DO. It's not to loud, but can still be heard and it not annoing when you are on the highway. I love mine.

These numbers may mean nothing to 4.0 (tested on a 5.0 Mustang if I'm not mistaken) but they may be relevant nonetheless. The Borla XS shows the best gains in the lower RPMs which would improve overall driveability. The flowtech warlock did well too, but im not digging that design. Seems like it would be just like straight pipes when "opened".
