Longwinded>>>>>
I don't wave at just Ranger's...........if I like the vehicle (car or truck) I'll point at em & give a thumbs up, or if I see they are a Veteran, as I am, I'll throughem a salute, or if they wave at me for whatever reason, I'll return it.
Theres a guy on the adjacent street to us, that sits out on his front porch in the evenins, and he waved at me once when I went by in my tow-pig, and we've passed waves ever since, don't know him at all, just a mutual "respect" for each other I guess.
If I see somebody gawkin at my Son's or my Ranger at a meet, I'll just letem look, if they approach me & ask if it's mine, then the conversation begins.
I guess I'm just an "ol' school" type of guy, I was brought up to respect others, you gotta make friends through life somehow, if I hadn't approached a NEW neighbor YEARS ago in the USAF, I'd of lost out on lotta good info after workin/pittin on his open-wheeled modified dirt track car. He & I both cut our teeth on my 450+HP 396, as he had never built a BB either!
At the age I'm at, I "expect" the same respect I've given all my life!
I guess to "each his own"................oh BTW: If I was as "reclusive" as some above me have posted, I'd of never met the guys from this site twice last year at the Knoxville, TN Meet, along with lookin forward to the one next month. Guess you guys "miss out" ey?

I could understand waving to other people if you have an exotic/really nice car, but in a ford ranger...no. I have heard of people in jeep wranglers do the little wave thing when they pass each other and also in mini coopers. I think its lame. like ooooh he drives the same car as me!!! *WAVE*...LAME!!!!!

I'd probably wave if I saw another modded Ranger. I don't think I've EVER seen a single 98+ lifted one around here! Tonight I did meet a 93-97 ext cab Ranger on the highway though that looked pretty cool. It was black with DSG on the bottom like mine and looked to be 31's or so on it. I was in the Focus tho so I'd didn't wave...

it also shows that you are immature and you come off uneducated about your grammer and punctuation skills.
as for the wave, only if it's modded or if we happen to catch each other's face at a red light. not jsut rangers though, most modded trucks or cars too.
