door ajar?
door ajar?
Well i was driving my ranger around today, got out then got back in and it said my door was ajar, i got out closed both doors and it was still saying its ajar? Its really humid and pretty hot out today could it be saying that just because the door thing is just hot? .. thanks
Instead of WD-40 try white lithium grease. It even comes in a spray can now. I tried some off-brand WD-40 type "all purpose spray lube" first...it fixed the problem for a few days then it came back. I sprayed some white lithium spray lube on there a couple weeks ago and it seems to have fixed it permanently. Here's the stuff I bought...it was pretty cheap at AutoZone:
my truck was doing the same thing. i tryed everything and nothing fixed it, eventually i had to get my happy *** outside and change out the switch. good thing im a smart girl otherwise i woulda had to listin to that stupid chime everytime i went over a bump. it was a pain in the butt to get to but its all fixed now.
i was out of WD-40 so i used some "all purpose" silicone spray, it fixed the door ajar-ed?
another trick i have found (for you ranger owners who live in snowy climates) you can spray silicone spray around the door seals (weatherstripping) so it wont freeze to its self and not open...
