ever tried to remove those stickers from the drivers door? it would be nice to have the right sticker, my "good" door that i plan to put on is from a V6 automatic truck, none of the information on its door tag would pertain to the truck im driving now, ive already started a "build sheet" notebook, since ive now got a 98 rear axle and i plan on changing the front knuckles/brakes to the ones off the 97. at the junkyard when i was sourcing a 4.10 axle i noticed some rangers had them on the door jamb rather than the door, i could always try that if i can get my original tag off, then i could just sand down or paint over the sticker on the replacement door.

You can try and take it off and glue it again. Usually they get torn up or I don't know a good way to do it. Take a picture of it before you try then a place like Vehicle Vin Stickers
can make a new one for you if it doesn't work.

I've used a hot air gun/ hair dryer to soften the adhesive and a razor blade to help lift them up. Don't get to hot or you will melt the plastic. Warm up the spot you are going to place it on and they usually stick right back on. Careful using certain adhesives, some can melt the plastic sticker.

I am not sure what year vehicles had the anti tampering labels. Or if Ford has ever used them but many vehicles I have painted over the years the labels that include the vin would self destruct no matter what method you would try to use to save it.

Most of these labels can be purchased from Ford when you provide the Vin and proof of ownership.

It would be worth a call to Ford to see if they can provide a new decal for you.

Good luck no matter what path you take.

I would just get a good picture of it, and transfer it that way.
You can size it, laminate it and glue it on to new door, or stick it in glove box, point is just to have it.

But in any case take high-res pictures of it BEFORE trying to remove it

Plastic razor blade and silicone based lubricant would be your best bet.
