Drove it 'till the wheels fell off..
yea doesnt look too bad and good job x2 on the roadside fix.... it looks like it stood up to the accident so thats a plus.... why wont insurance cover it? just cuz it was a pole??? but you got a goot lookin truck so hurry and fix it. im guessing you woudl replace all the parts your self then get it painted or you haveing the shop do it all? you seem rather handy and good at cars so it would save you alot if you did it yopurself if your not
Yeah I'm fixing it myself.. the core support has to be pulled, that's the only part I can't do but luckily I know someone who will help me do it. Most of my parts are either already here or on the way, as soon as I get the core support pulled out I'm gonna have a buddy spray them, get a new tire and it should be good to go.
No, he was a complete *******. It was a county cop that was directing the traffic and a city cop who wrote the report. The county cop watched me hit the pole and turned around as if it never happened. When the city cop asked him if what I was saying was true for the report he denied that he had anything to do with it. He said that I must of been paying attention to the wreck that happened.
There was a wreck involving a police officer on a motorcycle and i was avoiding the intersection by cutting through a parking lot to get to my dad's shop to take tools back from fixing the hub assembly.. Well one of the cops directing traffic thought I was avoiding the police and he was yelling and hollaring at me. Well I look his way and he gives me the "c'mere finger" gesture. So as I'm looking at him, and start turning in his direction i found a 2 foot light pole in a 200 ft parking lot..
lolol
oy vey... it just keeps comin, eh? Good thing no one got hurt
Concrete does not move for sure. I, too, learned that the hard way. I used to have a AWD Subaru and last winter I was having a blast drifting hardcore in a parking lot. Well, I though that there was still one more light pole, therefore another 50 ft of parking lot. Apparently there wasn't and I went sideways into a curb at 40 mph. Folded the rear wheel over completely horizontal. Bent the rear lateral links, knuckle, axle shaft, and trailing arm. The front bent the strut and crossmember. Both wheels needed to be replaced but one held air still so I didn't bother.
