Dyno Results....

I just got my truck back from the shop with some BASELINE Dyno numbers.

1999 4.0 OHV Auto 4X4

Both numbers at the wheels on a DynoJet
HP ~ 128
TQ ~ 180 foot lbs

Not to shabby for bone stock...cant wait to get the Mod's back on and see what they actually do...

If somebodys got the STOCK numbers for a SOHC please post em if you would.. ::caugh::Jared::caugh::
:)

At what rpm? Post some dyno sheets so we can see the power curve, peak numbers mean very little...

where's that middle finger smile...

I will take a pic of the dyno sheets in a bit.

I was told that Jared dynoed at 135... 175 wouldnt be bad and would be a much more realistic number but what I really care about is the Torque, Torque moves metal right... :D

(dont forget were not comparing apples to apples, OHV has 50 less HP right off the bat)

lol... I'd do it for ya.

I was thinkin about this while I was eating dinner and relized that saying those numbers are "good" probably wasnt the best without adding that I'm saying that they are good for that motor with 107,000 miles on it. My goal with moding this thing is Torque, I dont race or speed to often so HP really doesnt mean much, but I'll race anybody up a hill offroad and thats where Torque helps out. So yea... thats it. I'm just happy I beat those pesky 3.0's...lol

211 Tq. @ 2000 RPM
165 Hp. @ 5300 RPM (I think that is right I will have to check)

161 RWTQ at 3400 RPM

This was at Delk Performance.

Mods were: SSD CAI, Straight Piped Exhaust, 180* T-stat...

Torque is the only thing the dyno can measure. Horsepower is a calculation.

3.slow < 4.go

i have no idea what i'm sittin at as far as horsepower goes, but i know my buddy with his modded 3.0 cant keep up, and his is a 4x2, 3.73 gears, single cab stepside...he has the total weight advantage too.

just keep moddin it...remember, we're trucks....not lambo's....dont try to overdo it, keep it realistic

And HAS to be by definition. HP = torque * RPM / 5252

It is related to RPM and you can only directly measure it, so-to-speak, at 5252 RPM where torque=HP.
