I have a 2000 Ford ranger and recently it died on me so I replace the battery and The battery light was on on the dashboard before it wasnt even showing so I replaced the alternator with a new one and still it was draining the battery so I got a new fuse hoping that would fix the issue and still it was draining the battery I’m not sure what’s wrong with it please help, if I leave it connected over night it’ll drain the battery, its the 3rd battery I have exchange and the battery keeps leaking battery acid, I hate having to disconnect the plus connection every time I get off the car, please help!!

You need to get a Volt meter to do some testing, or take it to a shop that can test it
Battery light should come on with key on, and then it should go OFF after engine starts
Does that happen now?
Battery voltage should be 12.3 to 12.8volts with key OFF
Battery should be 13.5 to 14.8volts with engine running
Both the above mean battery and alternator are working
Battery fluid coming out usually means regulator is not work and battery is being overcharged
After driving for at least 5 minutes or idling, DO NOT shut off the engine, open the hood and retest battery voltage, should be 13.5 to 13.9volts, under 14volts, if so voltage regulator is working, if its still over 14volts then bad regulator(in alternator) or bad battery
If alternator and battery test as OK then battery is draining because a system in the vehicle is not shutting off when it should
This takes time to find
Key OFF and in your pocket, doors closed
Hook up volt meter to battery
Say it shows 12.6volts
Open engine fuse box and pull out larger rated fuses one at a time, and watch volt meter see if volts go up when fuse is removed, i.e. was 12.6 and goes to 12.7
When there is a change write down the number and amps of that fuse
If no changes then do the smaller amp fuses
Then move to Cab fuse box fuses, start with fuse 26
